Mowing

If you have newly-seeded grass, you have to make sure that it is three to four weeks old before mowing it for the first time; they have tender grass blades and are easily damaged by a mower.
Watering
For healthy and green grass, your lawn needs one inch of water every week. Avoid over-watering as it contributes to fungal growth and lawn diseases. As recommended, deep and infrequent sprinkler application is better than frequent, shallow watering. An irrigation system is helpful as you can control the water.
